Bridgewater State University Visit to the American Academy

On Tuesday, October 11, the American Academy hosted a group of students and faculty from Bridgewater State University. They have been conducting multidisciplinary undergraduate research projects in Georgia since the year of 2019.
The Shiraki Plain, which is the focus of their research, is a region that is experiencing ongoing rapid environmental change.
Bridgewater State University students, as a part of their teaching education, conducted outreach activities with junior high students. They presented Earth Science interactive demo classes to eighth graders. A few days later, the joint fieldwork was carried out in the Shiraki Plain, where students from Bridgewater State University collaborated and shared their fieldwork experience with our students.
