American Academy Students on Field Trips

On Thursday, October 6, senior students of the the American Academy traveled to Tao-KlarjeTi. They have visited Tbeti and Khakhuli Monastery, Oshki, Otkhta Eklesia, Ishkhani, Bana and one of the biggest monastery - Khandzta.
Next day, October 7, remaining classes visited different regions of Georgia: Junior high visited St. Anton Martkopeli Monastery and Anton's Pillar. Our students enjoyed breathtaking views of the monastic complex.
Freshman class went to Mtskheta. They visited Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Samtavro Monastery, and the medieval monastic complex Shio-Mghvime.
Sophomore class visited the medieval citadel - Gori Fortress ("Goris Tsikhe") and the country's ancient cave-town Uplistsikhe .
While Junior class went on a field trip to Asureti village, where they explored German architecture and the Remains of the German church, built in 1871. The rest of the day they've spent in Orbeti Green Space.
