The Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy in Tbilisi expresses its deepest sorrow over the passing of His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.
His Holiness’s contribution to the history of our school is extraordinary. His close friendship with the Academy’s founder, Guivy Zaldastanishvili, served as the foundation for numerous stages of the school’s development.
We hold a special memory of the Patriarch’s meeting with the graduating class of 2015, during which His Holiness blessed our students and shared a profound wish that they receive the best education abroad and, enriched with knowledge and experience, return to their home.
We share in the nation's great loss.
