Alumni Foundation
The Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy in Tbilisi, founded in 2001, has seventeen generations of alumni. Although we, the alumni, are still enrolled in colleges and graduate schools or pursuing our first careers, we have determined that the time has come to begin repaying the school's debt.
Pursuing the American Academy's mission and commitment to providing a high-quality education to students from diverse backgrounds, a group of committed American Academy alumni established the GZAAT Alumni Foundation in 2012. The foundation's mission is to strengthen ties between academy alumni, trustees, staff members, current students, and friends, as well as to fund the studies of at least one selected incoming freshman.
The Alumni Scholarship Fund was established the same year, and the GZAAT Alumni Foundation already awarded partial scholarships to two freshmen students in 2014. We would like to express our gratitude to all our alumni for their support of the Alumni Foundation's mission.
The GZAAT Alumni Foundation has no legal relationship with the Academy. The two elected representatives from each graduating class and the five founding members of the foundation make decisions. The organization's operations are transparent, and any member of the community has access to information about its decisions.
We are all aware of the Academy's critical role in molding us into the individuals we are today, guiding us in the right direction, and preparing us to succeed. The Academy, which is still the leading school in Georgia, was founded with the mission of raising the educational bar throughout the country. You can assist us in this endeavor by contributing whatever funds you can afford to the foundation.
